Our philosophy since becoming involved in equestrian sport is
that the Irish Draught Horse has played a major role. The even
temperament, willingness to please, durability and athleticism of
the Irish Draught crossed with varying portions of the Thoroughbred
leads to the production of different types of Irish Sport Horses.
Hence its suitability for all disciplines, at all levels, making
the Irish Sport Horse a great all-rounder for everyone, from leisure
riders to international competitors, worldwide.
"I am very interested in the breeding in Ireland and I am very impressed and
I respect the basic bloodlines of Ireland. I like the Irish horses a lot:
they have the heart of a lion, they are ready to win and they are always
co-operative. My first experience was with Flash and now I have five,
one of these is the nine year-old Harp which I bought from Torchy
Miller in Canada. 'The Irish Horse' was able to inform Mr Romo that his
horse is a former Young Irelander Champion"

'I am a firm believer in the ability of the Irish Sport Horse and I had a relentless
ambition to own a top class showjumper. I was fortunate enough to establish a rare
reliable contact in Ireland through whom I purchased Diamond Cliff, who brought me
success in the top showjumping arenas worldwide.'

Achievements:
We strongly believe that a young horse no matter how talented, can be badly set back or even
lost by the handler during the formative years of training. Treatment of each equine
individually in a knowledgeable manner is essential in cultivating a stress free atmosphere
of mutual respect and confidence between horse and handler. It is imperative that each horse
is allowed to progress at its own pace through the various stages of training. We know that
the key considerations are balance, rhythm and impulsion both on the lunge and under saddle.
On the lunge, the horse must move forwards on both reins showing:
